Health Care Reform & The Missing $404 Billion From Medicare

in Numbers Don't Lie

Economics Idiot: Someone who spends more than he has.

The CBO report on the Senate Finance Committee’s Health Care Reform Bill came in yesterday at a stealthy $829 billion. Well, that’s what the numbers are now. As we all know, the numbers NOW and the actual numbers will be much, much different. As if $829 billion over 10 years isn’t bad enough.

I wonder which orifice this money will be taken from, we’re already hemorrhaging money from every pore in our bodies.

In addition to Nancy Pelosi’s VAT tax (Value Added Tax), Dick Morris states that people relying on Medicare and Medicaid will suffer badly. To the tune of $404 Billion. If that doesn’t turn the heads of every senior citizen, child of a senior citizen or parent who currently qualifies for Medicaid, nothing will.

In addition to people fighting for quality care with the underfunded (and absolutely corrupt) Medicare and Medicaid systems, Morris talked tonight on Greta Van Susteren about a sweet little tax on the sick. Isn’t that nice? So the people who need insurance the most, the sick, will be paying approximately $600 per year extra for their coverage. That is… on TOP of their current medical expenses and insurance. These are people who generally earn $75,000 a year or less.

The video above is one that will be run in Florida which has a large senior citizen resident base.
