Remember growing up? I remember one of my biggest fears in school was when another classmate and I were called upon to do the daily raising of the American flag. I was mortified that I’d slip up and part of it would touch the ground. To this day I remember how carefully I did “my part”.
I was only 7 or 8. I didn’t know much about what the flag really and truly meant, only that it represented our country and each state. Even though I knew very little, I had such respect for it that I feared dropping it.
My dad proudly hung the flag outside our home on each patriotic occasion. And seriously, he’d play some marching band song when he did it. LOUD. It embarrassed me back then but now I’m so proud to have such a patriotic father.
Our amazing flag. Each one of our states represented by it’s own star. The star of the show. All 50 stars arranged neatly in a blue frame which unifies us as a nation.

But now each one of us, and our states, and our unity within our country has been replaced… deleted. We are no more. And the cost? Just $4.99 plus postage.
